Science

Welcome to the Science Department! 

We are located on all 3 floors of KHS.  On the first floor you can find our Freshman team; their course focuses on Earth and Space Science.  The second floor is the home of our Biology classes as well as electives such as Environmental Science, Forensics and Anatomy.  On the third floor we offer Physical Science courses including Chemistry and Physics.  

The teachers in the Science department are committed to providing students with opportunities to develop their ability to apply Science and Engineering practices as they investigate phenomena and design solutions to real world problems.  While all of our courses will be engaging and challenging, we also encourage all of our students to create a four year plan which will allow them to take advantage of the AP courses we offer which include: Biology, Chemistry and Environmental Science.
